That French girl makes me so horny
Erm is that Natalie Portman in the movie…I can’t tell if its her or not.
I think the point is that she’s supposed to sound like the stereotypical French person. (Notice the beret.) It fits in with the “everybody talks country in Texas” stereotype.
@Mccartneygirl I have actually heard french people sound a lot like that character while speaking English. French speakers who speak good english may sound like that but those who speak poor english have probably more french accent plus watch the end then you might understand why she speaks that way.

I think Genevieve’s accent is probably meant to be a bit campy and not entirely believable, along with all the tongue-in-cheek stereotypes in the film.
Genevieve’s accent really sucks!! I’m french and when i heard “genevieve” speaking french i thought it was a joke!! That doesn’t make me want to watch the movie but except for that it’s a funny film !! by the way, A real french actress speaking english is that hard to find in America ??

Actually, its an adjective which agrees with the subject. She’s saying “Je suis francaise.” as opposed to a male who’d say “Je suis francais.” So, as a female, she has to pronounce the “s.”
That being said, they should still have a picked an original French actress… her accent sounds so fake!
